The Vaccine Group (TVG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Crabb and Professor Laura Bowater, MBE, to its Board of Directors.
Neil Crabb joins the board as Frontier IP’s representative, succeeding Matthew White. As Chief Executive and founder of Frontier IP, Neil brings extensive experience in investing in and supporting technology companies and university spin-outs. His background includes co-founding Sigma Capital Group plc and holding investment management roles focused on UK growth businesses and technology ventures. Neil is an approved person under FSMA.
Professor Laura Bowater MBE joins the Board as the University of Plymouth’s representative, replacing Professor Robert Fern. Professor Bowater is Head of the Peninsula Medical School at the University of Plymouth and a non-executive director of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. An expert in microbiology and biomedical sciences, she has a strong track record in innovation, research translation, and building partnerships beyond academia, not least in her previous role as the University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Impact. She was awarded an MBE in 2020 for services to research and education in antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
